OVERVIEW

Porsche offers an unprecedented level of customization across its lineup — but awareness of just how personal a Porsche could be was an untapped opportunity. MotorTrend's answer was simple but powerful: put the right people in front of the Porsche Car Configurator, film what happens, and let the results speak for themselves.

For the original Design Sessions, MotorTrend partnered with two talent drawn from across the Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio — interior designer and HGTV personality Breegan Jane, and automotive expert and Top Gear America co-host Jethro Bovingdon — bringing them to the Porsche Experience Center to design their ultimate Macan and Taycan respectively. Each session captured the full configuration journey: the choices, the reasoning, the personality — and the finished one-of-one build.

The campaign exceeded expectations. Porsche took notice — and came back.

Design Sessions 2.0 built on the original format with a new generation of priority vehicles, new talent, and an elevated production concept. This time, the sessions went deeper — adding an origin story component exploring each talent's personal connection to Porsche, a first impressions drive guided by a PEC Pro, and a high-performance hot lap before the configuration session began. The result was a richer, more cinematic series that showcased not just the breadth of Porsche's customization options, but the performance capability that makes every configuration choice mean something.
