To highlight Mobil 1’s Factory Fill status in many of the world’s top performance vehicles, MotorTrend tapped into its epic high-performance competition tentpole: Best Driver’s Car. The annual competition pits the industry’s most impressive performance cars against each other on the road and at the track, an ideal stage to showcase how Mobil 1’s synthetic motor oil performs under extreme conditions.

As the competition unfolded, Mobil 1 owned the editorial ecosystem surrounding it, from long-form articles and exciting video highlights to social coverage that captured the speed, sound, and personality of each contender, culminating in The World’s Greatest Drag Race, where the competitors faced off in a spectacular side-by-side quarter-mile sprint for glory. The partnership naturally reinforced Mobil 1’s role in powering vehicles engineered for the highest levels of performance.

To bring enthusiasts even closer to the action, MotorTrend launched a contest that offered a once-in-a-lifetime experience: attending the BDC testing event in person to see the competition in real time, meet the judges and pro drivers, take hot laps around the track, and as part of its year 2 renewal, drive Mobil 1 Factory Fill exotics along the legendary roads of the Monterey Peninsula. It became the ultimate fan immersion into performance culture and a powerful way to deepen Mobil 1’s connection with its most passionate audience.
